If you can help it, you’d be wise to hold off on buying a new Android smartphone in the month of February. For those of you that can’t help it, we’ve put together a list of the best Android smartphones money can buy this month.
This month isn’t a good month for smartphone shoppers. We’re currently just a few weeks out from two major smartphone launches, the Samsung Galaxy S6 and HTC One M9, and those that can wait for those launches should wait for those launches. The Galaxy S6 and HTC One M9 are expected to replace the Galaxy
S5 and HTC One M8 and both are expected to be two of the top devices of the year.
That said, we understand that everyone’s situation is a little different. Some of you won’t be able to wait three and a half weeks for these new smartphones to arrive. You need a smartphone during the month of February. Well, while we haven’t seen anything major released in the first part of the year, there are still some excellent Android phones available to you right now.

We are constantly bombarded with questions about the best Android phones money can buy. There are a number of different devices that we could recommend, the Android smartphone market is full of solid choices, but we want to narrow things down a bit and take a look at what we consider to be the top five Android phones available.
These devices represent the devices that we’d recommend to friends and family. And while our list may differ from yours, these are the devices that Gotta Be Mobile editors have selected for recognition this month. We feel like the devices listed here deliver the best, all-around package for this month and this month alone.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4

Samsung Galaxy Note 4

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will soon be joined by the Galaxy S6 which means that we've put a hold on buying it. That said, if you're in desperate need of an Android smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is going to be a fine choice in the month of February and beyond. We like it more than the Galaxy S5.
Samsung's Galaxy Note 4 arrived in October to great fanfare and it's as good as advertised. It offers you a massive 5.7-inch Quad HD display, an improved design that combines plastic with metal, a camera with Optical Image Stabilization, and a speedy processor that's capable of providing excellent multitasking and gaming.
It's expensive, $299.99 on-contract most places, but it's certainly worth a look if you absolutely need to buy a new smartphone this month. It's one of the top Android devices on the market and it's going to remain one of the top devices in the months to come. It's that good.

Nexus 6

Nexus 6

The Nexus 6 first arrived back in November alongside Google's new Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system and it quickly became one of the go to Android smartphone options. The Motorola-made Nexus 6 is one of our favorite Android smartphones and it's a device that you should take a look at this month before settling on a new device.
Google's Nexus 6 is the follow up to the Nexus 5 and it delivers a number of big time features that we think make it worthy of a look. The 6-inch QHD display, the front-facing speakers and the stock Android 5.0 Lollipop are a few of our favorite features though it also comes loaded with fast charging, a solid camera, and a pretty design.
The Nexus 6 is a massive smartphone which means that it won't be for everyone but it's worth a look if you wnat Android and you're not into the various user interfaces that Android manufacturers put on top of the operating system. The Nexus 6 is, in our opinion, one of the best Android smartphones money can buy.

Moto X

Moto X

The Moto X from 2014 had some extremely big shoes to fill. Fortunately, the device filled them with ease. Motorola's Moto X 2014, also known as Moto X, delivers a powerful Android package and in our expert opinion, it's one of the best Android smartphones you can buy this month.
Motorola's current flagship offers a brand new design, a beautiful display, tons of of horsepower, a good camera, and extremely useful software. The device is essentially a Nexus smartphone with some nice Motorola software features attached. If you or a loved one likes vanilla Android, the Moto X is a phone to keep an eye on.
Unlike some of these phones, the Moto X 2014 is cheap on-contract. And that low price should put it near the top of your shopping list if you're looking for a new phone at the start of the year.

LG G3

LG G3
LG G4 rumors are starting to swirl but until we get a firm date, the LG G3 remains one of the best Android smartphones on the market.
Last year, LG's G3 took over for the LG G2. Since then, it has reigned as one of the best all-around Android devices on the market. From its large Quad HD display to its speedy processor to its camera and battery life, this is one of the best Android smartphones currently on shelves.
Best of all, the LG G3 is now extremely cheap as retailers and carriers try and make it attractive next to the latest and greatest Android devices. The LG G3 might not have the biggest name but it's a big time device and it's worthy of your attention. Take a look at it before buying your next phone.

Sony Xperia Z3

Sony Xperia Z3
This final spot came down to the HTC One, Droid Turbo, Samsung Galaxy S5, and Sony Xperia Z3. Ultimately, we chose the Xperia Z3. The Droid Turbo is limited to Verizon and the other two are going to be replaced in the next few weeks. Oh, and the Xperia Z3 is an excellent phone.
Sony's latest flagship smartphone delivers a superb design, excellent camera, useful software, fantastic battery life, and a very speedy processor. It's also an extremely affordable smartphone and one that should continue to get software support as we push deeper into its life span.
This is a phone that we think you absolutely must consider if you plan on going Android this month. Sony's new flagship is an outstanding specimen and it's one that you should take a look at before taking the plunge with another Android device.
